Problem
As deployment requirements expanded in both scale and complexity, our internal consultants faced challenges with tools that felt overly complex. This complexity also made it harder for external customers to create their own deployments.
Objective
Within a constrained timeframe, our mission was to design and implement tools that would not only simplify the deployment process for our internal team but also empower external customers to create deployments with ease.
Outcome
Our efforts culminated in the introduction of "Deployment Designer." This suite of tools was a game-changer, streamlining the process for our consultants and enabling external customers to seamlessly design and initiate large-scale deployments.
Discovery
To set this project on the right track, I dived deep into understanding the current workings. By immersing myself in training and spending quality time with our internal PS consultants, I quickly grasped the nuances of their workflow and the challenges they faced.
Ideation
With a tight schedule ahead, collaboration was key. The product lead and stakeholders had some solid ideas about enhancing the deployment process for large tasks. I stepped in by facilitating brainstorming sessions and rolling out quick prototypes, gathering feedback from users and the team as we went along.
